1. How long does it take for a piercing to heal?

Healing times vary depending on the type and location of the piercing, as well as individual healing factors. Here are some general estimates:

• Earlobe: 6–8 weeks

• Cartilage (helix, tragus, conch, etc.): 4–12 months

• Nostril: 4–6 months

• Septum: 6–8 weeks

• Eyebrow: 6–8 weeks

• Lip/Labret: 6–8 weeks

• Tongue: 4–6 weeks

• Navel: 6–12 months

• Nipple: 6–12 months

• Genital piercings: 4 weeks to 6 months (varies widely)

Always follow your piercer’s aftercare instructions and remember that healing is a process, not a set timeline.
